The coast at Velez-Malaga is half an hour and Malaga about an hour away. The lake Pantano La Viñuela forms the valley and is the largest of the province of Malaga. There are water sports facilities, as well as recreation areas with grills, mini golf and a soccer field. With a fishing card you can catch carp or barbels here. The surrounding area is dominated by the surrounding sierra with vast natural parks and the 2000 m high Maroma, the highest mountain in the province.
