Comares is a white washed village located on top of a mountain 700 metres above sea level with stunning views over the Axarquia, the Sierras and the Meditarranean Sea. Mazmullar is part of the municipality and its houses spread over one of the greenest mountain backs of the region with plenty of water. The villa is 10 minutes by car from the village. Comares offers several shopping facilities as well as bars and restaurants. The coast and Velez Malaga is at half an hours drive and Malaga with its international airport at approximately one hour by car.
