Location

Comares is located some 700 meters above sea level on top of a hill which has 360 degree views across the Axarquía, taking in the 2,000 meter high Maroma mountain in the Sierra Almijara, and the Mediterranean sea of the Costa del Sol. There are various small shops in the village which have all day to day necessities. As well as bars and restaurants, there are two hotels, a health centre and a summer opening public swimming pool. The coast at Torre del Mar with its beaches and nightlife is only about a twenty minute drive away, as is Velez-Málaga, the capital of the area with its good shopping facilities. The airport at Málaga is about an hour´s drive.

This traditional village house is to be found a few short steps from the main village square. You enter into the living room which has an open plan kitchen attached. To the right is a small room, which could be used as a bedroom or study. Beyond the kitchen is a hallway which leads to the bathroom. Via a staircase you reach a small patio and at first floor level there are two bedrooms. On the top floor of the house there is another large room and a roof terrace, from which there are far-reaching views across the village and its surroundings
